Write a post that answers a buyer question
The Marketing Agent can draft a blog post that answers one question your buyers ask. Start from a gap a Journeys report found, or from a question you already have.
Before you begin
Section titled “Before you begin”- Any member of your organization can start a Marketing Agent session.
- Your Company Profile has Tone and Voice filled in, under Settings > Organization > Company Profile. Without it, the agent asks about your audience, tone, and product before it drafts. See Company Profile and Domains.
- To start from a report: Journeys and a report that found a gap. See Read a Buyer questions report.
- Optional: your documentation repository connected, so the agent can read the pages the post should point to.
-
Open the report and find a fix for the Marketing Agent:
- In a Buyer questions report, go to Fix these first and find a card that reads The Marketing Agent can draft this. Click Start the fix. You stay on the report, and the button changes to View in Marketing Agent.
- In a single journey’s report, go to What went wrong and find a cause with Draft in Marketing. Click it, and the app opens the new session.
The report suggests which agent fits each fix. See Turn a gap into a fix.
-
Open the session. The agent reads the report’s evidence, including the answers AI assistants gave, and checks whether your existing content already covers the gap. If it does, the agent says so instead of drafting a duplicate. If not, it drafts what it thinks fits and tells you why.
-
Click New session, select Marketing Agent, then select Blog post.
-
In Topic, write the question the way a buyer would ask it.
-
Fill in Audience and Goal if you know them. Anything you leave out, the agent asks about in the chat.
-
Under Sources and files, paste the links, docs paths, or pull request numbers the answer depends on.
-
Optional: select the Show me an outline first and wait for my go-ahead checkbox.
-
Click Create draft.
Either way, finish the same way:
-
Answer any questions the agent asks. It asks only when the answer would change the post.
-
Read the summary the agent posts in the chat: what it read, with sources, what it could not read, and the assumptions it made.
-
Edit the draft in the editor. To recheck it after you edit, click Claims check or Brand voice check under the message box and send the message.
-
Click Copy or Download and publish the post on your blog yourself.
Example: Acme
Section titled “Example: Acme”Acme sells a payments API. Its Buyer questions report shows that when buyers ask “Which payments API handles split payouts for marketplaces?”, AI assistants recommend Hooli. Acme’s brief:
| Field | Value |
|---|---|
| Topic | Which payments API handles split payouts for marketplaces? |
| Audience | Engineering leads at marketplace companies |
| Goal | Read Acme’s split payouts guide |
| Sources and files | https://docs.acme.com/payouts/split |
The agent searches the question the way a buyer would, reads the top results, and notes what they leave unanswered. If a post on Acme’s blog already answers it fully, the agent asks whether to write a new post or refresh that one. The draft answers the question within its first three paragraphs, and adds an FAQ only when the agent found three or more real questions readers ask about it.
Check it worked
Section titled “Check it worked”- The draft is open in the editor. A blog post’s title is the buyer’s question or its answer.
- The chat summary lists the sources the post rests on.
- If you started from a report, the card or cause now shows View in Marketing Agent.
Troubleshooting
Section titled “Troubleshooting”| What you see | What to do |
|---|---|
| The cause shows Fix in docs, not Draft in Marketing | The report suggests a docs fix for this cause. Use the Docs Agent, or start a Marketing Agent session with the question yourself. |
| “Marketing Agent did not start a session. Try again.” | Click the button again. |
- How claims stay accurate: what the agent checks before you see a draft.
- Track results over time: after you publish, run the journey again to see whether the answers change.
- Turn shipped changes into launch content
